BUNK : A Bang for the Buck Bar in Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City

After long hurls and swirls I’m back on track!

So here is a post about a bar my friends and I went to yesternight! πŸ˜ƒ ( I can’t believe I’m posting in less than 24 hours! I feel so sipag! 😝)

It was literally the end of the month, a payday Friday too, so you can imagine how furious the traffic can be! Goodie, I was able to book a GrabSedan and it only took me 30 minutes to get there!

It was a bit confusing when I alighted the vehicle. I was on the groundfloor, and all I know is that it is located in the 8th floor of a building, but I’m not so sure which one is it. Good thing, I was able to ask for directions. It was a shabby infrastructure, although I wasn’t able to take a photo. Haha πŸ˜€ But it can easily be found, as it is just the tower right across the main PCSO office.

Much to my dismay, the elevator was under repair. So, really. 😳 But, this is not a time to rant, but rather an opportunity for exercise! Haha πŸ˜… So with my frail legs, I braved up seven flights of stairs to reach Bunk. But in my mind, I kept repeating, “This better be worth it!”

My thin-gasping-for-air self was greeted by this Bunk sign. It gave me a very underground vibe. Haha And that, should not be taken literally! πŸ˜„

This gorgeous and too-urban-for-a-life wall is an electrifying add-on for every blogger-pose in mind. And uploading it as a coverphoto wouldn’t be so bad either.

Oooooh. So this the breathtaking city view everybody is talking about! Haha Not to mention the sparkly lights of Empire East ‘s California Garden Square. *Incessant plugging* Haha πŸ™‚

But seriously, the Mandaluyong skyline is every Millennial group’s perfect accessory to accentuate a night filled with booze, good music and wonderful conversations.

We ordered Burgers, Nachos, Tofu and Pork Combo, and Fritters. They were delectable and fairly priced. Their dishes just range between 200PhP to 300PhP.

While drinks play within 40PhP to 100+PhP.

Bunk Bar actually has two areas, you can either choose from the one that has a roof, or the one that has none. It was pretty impressive how full it was, considering that it was just 8:30PM; to think that the elevator is broken.

What kind of sorcery is this?

It also rained earlier that evening, that is why the glowing tables were taken off. These people really had to stand, and wait for the floors to dry to be seated.

When the grounds went parched, these homey woven-mats were laid and lighted tables set-up. This looks very comforting and more relaxing.

We came in earlier than the others so we had the regular tables. If I had known, I would’ve arrived later than usual. Haha πŸ˜„ So this is the view of a jealous me, amidst this happy throng. Well, next time!

It is an amazing sight. Friends drinking the night away with the sky full of stars, what more could you ask for? What a delightful way to cap a hectic week!

Thank you so much Bunk for having us. It was a gripping night full of wonders and ecstatic plans about life and random things. We’re sure going to be back and try those mats and bean bags! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively) from their monotonous Friday nights!
