As a millennial Filipina, I suppose you would agree that maintaining good physical image in today’s society is crucial. You have every tool and application at hand that can possibly turn our photos from ordinary to something extra wonderful.

As a blogger, things have changed quite a bit for me. When I was still working, I have this constant notion to keep myself well-groomed at all times to serve as a good example to my trainees. But right now, things had to go up a notch.

For some reason, I never had the time to go to skin clinics, not because I was too busy, but because I thought I was doing okay. I mean, I use a fair number of beauty products, so maybe I was trying enough to take good care of myself, but when I got invited to Skin Philosophie’s event, I realized maybe I should try to consider paying a visit soon.

It’s not really because of vanity, but I guess there can be services that you thought you don’t need but you actually do. For example, eye rejuvenation. I never thought that my simple and random late night activities could cause my eyebags to look really bad.

I am not getting any younger, so investing on my skin and my health should probably be lifted to my top 5 priorities now.

Dr. Kyla Talens, M.D., DCD, MSc who was celebrating her birthday that day is the CEO and the Chief Aesthetic Dermatologist of Skin Philosophie. Her main interest was aesthetic medicine, specifically skin and laser treatments.

She earned her degree and education from University of the Philippines, Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and Ramathibodi Hospital – Mahidol University, Thailand.

She said that she also incorporates her creative and artistic inclination into her practice. She emphasizes that, “It is of paramount importance for a doctor to have a keen eye for symmetry and proportion so that results look natural after procedures.” And I couldn’t agree more!

I had the best time discovering how Skin Philosophie can help me in my skin problems, which is why I cannot wait to have my own treatment very soon.

Get a Free Body Scrub at Finessa Aesthetica

When I was a kid I often wondered how it was like to be a grown-up lady.

I suppose “she” never had to endure weird torn up skin appearing just below her nails. She never had to clean her toes after wearing open-toe sandals the whole day.
And she would always smell sweet no matter how intense the sun is.
When it was my turn to finally find out what happens when you’re a lady, I realized it wasn’t totally hearts and flowers after all.

I was given a chance to try a few services from Finessa Aesthetica, and I felt more like a princess than a lady.

Together with some of my blogger friends, we took the opportunity to experience how it feels to be pampered and prettified at the same time.

We started with our Whitening Glutathione Drip. It was my first time so I didn’t know what to expect. All I knew is I felt calmer after, and my muscles felt more relaxed.

LIPO LIGHT WRAP

I also tried their Lipo Light Wrap.

I was asked to take a shower and wear this suit while I was inside the lipo light machine.

Lipo Light Wrap is a service wherein it predisposes your body to sweat by being subjected to some light therapy inside the machine. This is best for people who would want to lose weight, expel toxins and have a better blood circulation.
I fell asleep! Haha 🙂 The whole service is timed for an hour.

After Lipo Light Wrap I was supposed to experience Laser Lipo in the tummy area. But since I was advised that it may have a downtime and can elicit a few blisters, I politely declined.
My skin is blister-friendly, so it’s a big no no. Tell your beauty aesthetician if you have this similar condition so they can advise you properly.
However, the day wasn’t even drawing to a close as I thought it would.

Minutes later, these diodes were on my tummy area, sending electric currents to my ab muscles.

The Ab Sculpt Procedure is probably every gym-allergic person’s bestfriend. If you are too tired or too busy to hit the gym, and would just like to work on the tummy part alone (just like me) this may be a good alternative!

30 minutes of Ab Sculpt is equivalent to around 200 sit-ups! And it doesn’t even cost a fortune!
I had the most amazing time at Finessa Aesthetica! Can you believe all of these services are just in one establishment? 🙂

Now I know what to answer my 8-year-old self-wonders. That looking like a lady, or a princess rather needs work. You have to give time, effort, and invest when you can.
Maintaining an image can and may come with a price. You can opt to avail or not. You always have a choice.
But I’d rather believe that I can always work smart to afford, and not sulk on why the world is just the way it is and complain about why it cannot give me what I want to be happy.

My ClearLift Treatment Experience in Facets and Figures

I have been fortunate enough to try various skin treatments from different clinics, and what excited me more about ClearLift Treatment is that, I don’t know anything about it!

I haven’t heard of it, or know someone who actually tried so it roused my curiosity even more.

Based on my research, ClearLift Treatment is a collagen-inducing and skin resurfacing procedure that uses a laser to allow the skin to look more youthful and fairer. This is perfect for anti-aging, and helps a lot in reducing eye puffiness, wrinkles, and dark circles under the eyes.

I am 28, who always sleeps very late at night, and definitely not getting any younger; so I guess I am one of those people who would extremely benefit from this age-defying approach.

I arrived in Facets and Figures Facial and Slimming Spa, and was greeted warmly by one of their staff.

I was briefed that they will be using a laser to help plump my skin to naturally produce collagen. I was wary that this will cause blisters because I am the keloidal-type. Goodie, I was assured that this was non-invasive, and my skin has nothing to worry about.

You can see how my skin needs a lot of aid it can get. ;P

My face was prepped carefully, and my eyes were covered with opaque goggles to protect them from the laser.

Clearlift was systematically done from my chin to cheeks to my nose, then eyes, then lastly towards my forehead. The air above my face smelled very mettalic, although it is something that you shouldn’t worry about.

You might just feel a bit claustrophobic knowing that your eyes are closed, and some weird device is sweeping your face non-stop.

I was a bit sneezy with the smell so I ask my beauty specialist to stop in between the procedure, so I can attend to my nose. Haha 😀

The procedure took about an hour, and the best thing about is that results can already be seen even on the first session!

They recommend at least 6 sessions of ClearLift Treatment would be best to actually show the tantamount difference!

But as you can see, the dark circles and puffiness of my eyes decreased! Yay! And the best part is there are no redness and no downtime! You can quickly return to your skincare and makeup routine the next day! 😀
